Well its been over a week since i ran for the first time in 12 weeks or so. Tonight felt better. I did one and ones on the dreadmill. 20 minutes worth. so that’s like what….10 minutes of running. Probably better than the 53 min i did last week.
First run back

I Ran!……woohoo.
how did it feel? not sure. It felt ok. No real pain while running , or after. A little uncomfortableness. But, the leg turn over felt ok and the knee didn’t seem to give much grief. Here’s a link to my run. First of hopefully a lifetimes worth.

Running?

Well I have been given the ok to “attempt” running again. Well, more accurately jogging. So tonight at 6:30 I will be at a track an attempt an easy jog around the track. I am still not too sure. Knee doesn’t’ feel 100%, but then again, I’m not going to be running at 100% am [...]

So rehab is going ok. I’m doing some exercises twice a day. Swimming and i just started with biking. I did 20 [...]

Saw the surgeon today

The Doc said I’m healing according to schedule and am free to start physio. Sweet!
there is still some swelling and tightness and pain. But it’s tolerable. I’ve set a ETR…(estimated time to running) as of April 1.
That leaves me a couple of weeks rehab and strength training. One day at a time my friends.

the inner game of running

Someone once told me that running is 90% mental…..and the other 10% is in your head. ( Ray Zahab)
I have been doing the runs religiously and learned a lot. I like running in the rain, but not the wind. I prefer afternoon running to morning or night, but don’t seem to mind much. I’ve upped [...]
